Bulgarian champion Lukoil Academic overcame Levski Sofia in it's last preseason game in Bulgaria. The Students smashed the Blues 95:68 in Triadica Hall in Sofia.
Levski's young team is still not in it's best shape, so the champions didn't had any problems winning this one. Levski took the lead only one time with 1 point, while Lukoil's biggest lead was at the end - 27 points.
For Lukoil the Macedonian duo - Pero Antic and Riste Stefanov scored 23 points each. Stefanov connected 5 times from 3-point range, while Antic had 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Donta Smith impressed with some attractive plays and 14 points, while Petroslav Zafirov scored 12. Todor Stoykov ended up with 11, and Lubomir Lilov scored 10 and grabbed 7 rebounds.
For Levski, the American forward Rob Preston made a perfect debut after his comeback from the States. The 206-cm tall Akron graduate scored a team-high of 16 points, shooting 5/5 for 2 points and 2/3 for 3 points. He also added 3 boards, 1 assist and 1 steal. Stanislav Slaveykov scored 14 points, Vesko Veslinov stringed another 11, and Stefan Georgiev scored 11 as well.
