Lukoil Academic lost by twenty from Olympiacos
Bulgarian men champion Lukoil Academic lost the first game from Baskeorama in Nicosia, Cyprus. In front of 400 spectators Olympiacos from Athens was better 100-80.
The game started better for Lukoil Academic as they had 12 points first quarter advantage. However at the end of it it was only 1 point in their favor. At the half time Olympiacos already had 4 points advantage.
During the second half the players of coach Pini Gershon totally stopped Lukoil Academic offense as they allowed only 31 points. The decisive factor in the game was the short bench by the Bulgarian team. They had no answers especially when their best player Pero Antic got his fourth foul and had to sit on the bench.
Roderick Blakney, American with Bulgarian passport played for Olympiacos. He scored 4 points. The best scorer for the greek team was Arvidas Macijauskas with 24 points, while Americans Qyntel Woods and Lynn Greer scored 18 points apiece.
Antic once again was the highest scorer for Lukoil Academic in preseason games with his 23 points. Riste Stefanov added 13 while captain Todor Stoykov ended with 12.
Tomorrow Lukoil Academic are having day off while Sunday night they play against the home team Keravnos.
