Ventspils head coach Gasper Okorn:
"It was a difficult game, Lukoil Academic is having an average of 90 points per game at home. We knew that they would like a big advantage and will play quick. So that is why we wanted to control the game for most of the time. We started really bad, as the hosts had advantage in the beginning. Then we managed to come back in the game and only our poor play at the start of the last quarter didn't let us go away from here with a victory. We couldn't score for 5-6 minutes and we are leaving with a loss by 3 points instead with a win. But still the chances are 50/50. The fact that we lost by three doesn't make us the favourite for the second game. We have absolutely no advantage."
