Boyko Mladenov signed in KK Split
Second Bulgarian player after Deyan Ivanov will play in KK Split until the end of the season. 212 cm tall Boyko Mladenov will wear the jersey of Croatian club as they will end soon they participation in Adriatic League and then continue to play in local championship.
Boyko Mladenov started the season in Cyprus in Apollon Pizza Express but they had financial problems and he left the team. Later he joined CSKA with option to leave the club if he receive offer from outside of Bulgaria.
“I’m very happy to go and play for this team. They are one of the best teams in former Yugoslavia, several times European champions. It’s a big honour for me to play for the team where Toni Kukoc and Dino Radja used to play. I’m verry happy to have Deyan Ivanov as my teammate,” said Mladenov.
He also said that he rejected the offer from Stokholm 08 earlier today. KK Split won the best club championship in Europe back in 1989, 1990 and 1991. They also won two times Radivoy Korac Cup, 6 times champions of former Yugoslavia and 5 times winner of national cup.The team is currently on 10th place in Adriatic League with 9 wins and 13 losses after 22 games plyed. Before Mladenov and Ivanov there was another Bulgarian in the team – Filip Videnov.
