Second win in row for Overgas

The young team of Overgas that is playing in Group A recorded second straight and third win from the start of the season. Today the players of Yanko Yanchev defeated Slavia Termostren 93-85.

The game didn't start well for Overgas as Slavia started with 7-0 run. Ventsislav Petkov then scored the first two points for his team. Then there was new 7-0 run for Slavia and after only 3 minutes they were ahead 14-2. The visitors in this game, Overgas, cut it to 17-12 but until the end of the first quarter Slavia played better and had a lead of 30-17 but then allowed 5 straight points for 30-22 after ten minutes.

Slavia Termostren scored the first basket for 32-22 in the second quarter but 10-0 run for Overgas tied the game. Then Slavia went ahead by 6 but Ivaylo Vasilev basket at the end made it 43-45 for the visitors as they went ahead before the break.

In the second half Overgas showed they are the better team and went up by 17 points in the 28th minute. In the next two minutes Slavia made an 8-0 run to end the quarter down by 9.
In the last ten minutes Slavia tried everything to come back in the game but could only manage to cut it to 5 points and nothing more.

18-year old Teodor Yanchev was the top scorer for Overgas with his 22 points. Petyo Ivanov added 17 and 10 rebounds for a double-double while Ventsislav Petkov finished with 16.

For Slavia Termostren Yordan Yankov was the top scorer with 24 making 4 from 4 from the three point line.

Next round will be very tough for Overgas as they will host the leader and the best team in this group Balkan Botevgrad in Triaditsa hall. Slavia Termostren will travel to Stara Zagora to visit Beroe.
