Euroins Cherno More with first win of the new year

The team of Euroins Cherno More recorded its first win of the new year after a few disappointing defeats. Today the team from Varna defeated Sliven away 92-67 and came back to winning ways.
The big difference in the score doesn't reflect how the game went during the whole 40 minutes. After Euroins Cherno More won the first quarter 17-24 in the second the team of Sliven bounced back and cut the deficit to just three points at the break.
The start of the second half was good for the hosts who were close and stood in with a chance. The third quarter ended with Euroins Cherno More ahead by 8 points and the players of Sliven were still hoping for something more than a loss in this game. However the last quarter turned out to be disastrous for them as they lost the final ten minutes by 17 points and suffered yet another defeat.
Simeon Tsenov showed he can be relied on and finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds. The two import big men - Atila Santos and Michael Earl - dominated the paint with 19 and 17 points respectively.
For Sliven Todor Tenev followed up on his good performances of late and finished with 22 points and 8 rebounds tonight. Hristo Gatev was also in top form with his 17 points and 5 rebounds.
The team of Sliven continues to be rock bottom of the table without a single win while Euroins Cherno More went to third place in the standings with 8 wins and 5 losses, but 4th placed Spartak Pleven have a game in hand.
