Cavs guard West arrested
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West was arrested for carrying weapons Thursday night near his home in Maryland.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports West was pulled over on his motorcycle while carrying a pair of concealed handguns and a shotgun. Corporal Clinton Copeland told the newspaper West was speeding before being pulled over.
Police found a 9mm Beretta, a Ruger .357 and a shotgun inside a guitar case that was hanging on West's back, according to the newspaper.
West was charged with two counts of gun possession and traffic citations. Last season he left the Cavaliers during training camp to be treated for depression.
During the 2008-09 season, West averaged 11.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
