Lukoil Academic - champion again

Lukoil Academic is once again champion of Bulgaria. Today the team defeated Levski away 89-71 and won the Series 3-1. This result meant 8th straight title for Lukoil Academic.
The first quarter was very even but Levski started with 0/10 shooting from the three point line that helped Lukoil Academic take a 16-22 lead after ten minutes. The games was decided in the second quarter. The visitors played very good defense and that helped them built a very big lead at the end of the first half, 31-54.
After the break Levski tried to make a comeback but managed to cut the deficit only to 15 points. Lukoil restored its big advantage that went up to 30 points early in the fourth quarter. Until the end Levski managed to cut a little bit of the deficit and the game finished with 18 points in favour of Lukoil.
Pero Antic had doube double for the winners with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Branko Mirkovic and Slavko Stefanovic had 15 points apiece.
For the hosts Aaron Harper had 21 points as Stefan Georgiev added 12. No other player from the team though scored in double digits.
