The best player in the Bulgarian women National Basketball League Juanita Ward signed a contract with WNBA team Tulsa Shock. The player of Beroe 07 Stara Zagora will join her new team after the end of the season in Bulgaria. The team from Stara Zagora will play Montana 2003 in the quarter-final of the NBL.
Ward is also now the MVP of the regular season in the Bulgarian championship. She arrived at Beroe 07 on December 9th and since then she averaged 24.4 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 11 games.
There`s a chance that after the season in WNBA Ward could come back to Bulgaria in the middle of September and play for coach Georgi Mladenov again.
