Bulgaria U20 Boys national team finished last at the European championship, division A. The Bulgarians lost all nine of their games and finished 20th in the standings which means a relegation to the lower division. In the last game they lost to Bosnia & Herzegovina 78-88.
The match was decided in overtime as Aleksandar Milov tied the score at the end of regular time. However in the extra five minutes the Bosnians started with 9 straight points so the pulled away and led until the end.
Aleksandar Iliev and Evgeni Hadjirusev had 14 points apiece for Bulgaria as Radoslav Kochev added 13.
