Dunav 2007 defeated CSKA after overtime, 88-84 and stayed undefeated after the second day of A-1 qualifications. After 4 quarters of play the score was tied, 75-75.
During the game both teams were exchanging leads. Dunav 2007 started much better the game and deservedly took the lead. At the halftime break the team had 10 point advantage, 41-31. CSKA responded with 12-0 run and after 4 minutes and 10 seconds of play in the second half they were leading. From this moment on to the end of the game both teams showed big desire for win and were in a battle for it.
Pavel Noykov played the whole game and was the best player on the court. He finished with 31 points adding also 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists. The forward scored five 3-pointers. He showed he can score free throws as well. Near the end of regular time CSKA led by 3 points, and everything seemed over for Dunav 2007. Noykov scored the first free throw, missed the second, grabbed the rebound and was fouled again. He scored the two free throws and sent the game in overtime. In the extra minutes Dunav 2007 took a 5 point lead but CSKA didn't give up easy. At the end Dunav 2007 led by 2 points, then CSKA made a mistake and again Pavel Noykov scored two free throws to finish the game.
On his birthday Hristo Nikolov was the best scorer for CSKA with 24 points. Lavell Payne added 22 points and 6 rebounds.
For Dunav 2007 Ninoslav Tmuzic was close to double-double with 18 points and 9 rebounds.
