Petya Dzhambazka returns from Italy and will strengthen Dunav Econt until the end of the season. The exclusively surprising news was announced personally by the owner of the club Nikolay Padalski. In the end of August, the 29-year-old Dzhambazka was on the edge of signing with the team from Ruse, but preferred the Italian second division Faleria Porto Sant Elpidio.

She went in Italy for the second time in her career as she already played one season for Cientro Sport Paladio, Vincenza. After that Dzhambazka came back to Bulgaria and was a part of Rilski Sporitst. The girls form Samokov reached the 1/4 –finals of the national championship where they were stopped by Dunav Econt.

The contract with Dzhambazka is for a year and she will join her new teammates on Sunday, just after their first game of the women’s A-1 against NSA in Sofia.
Unfortunately, Dzhambazka can not be registered for the FIBA Eurocup games versus the Cyprus AEL Imperial. If the players of Stefan Stefanov go ahead in the next stage of the competition, then there will be no problems for Dzhambazka to be registered and help her team.
