Yambol lost versus Euroins Cherno More

Yambol lost the home game against Euroins Cherno More by 74-89. Before the start Stanislav Govedarov received the award for most assists during 2007-2008 season.

The start was very strong for the hosts who took a 9-2 lead. The bad news was that Byron Sanders received an injury in thos first minutes that took him out of the game. This proved out to be one of the decisive factors for the loss of the hosts. The visitors managed to tie the score at 16-16 but Yambol closed the first quarter with a 6-0 run for 22-16.

In the first two minutes of the second quarter the hosts increased their advantage to 11 point. Then Corey McIntosh scored three straight three-pointers and the deficit went down to 4. In the next minute Yambol made a 5-0 run but with 1.30 to go in the first half the score was once again tied at 44. However Yambol scored three points and went in to the break leading 47-44.

The hosts started the second half very strong and took a good advantage but then the visitors came right back in to the game and in the 36th minute the score was once again tied, this time at 56 and in the next offense Cherno More took the lead. The visitors kept their lead in this quarter and were ahead by 6 at the end of it.

In the last quarter the players of Yambol were already tired and that helped the visitors in that moments. The difference even went up to 19 but the hosts cut 4 points near the end and the game finished with a win for Euroins Cherno More.

Top scorer for Yambol was Pavel Marinov with 18 as Ivan Marchev scored 16.

Corey McIntosh scored 26 for the visitors while Sheldоn added 19.
