Levski had no problems with visitors from Sliven and after 105-90 win took first place in the National Basketball League in Bulgaria. Levski managed to tie their points with Lukoil Academic but they beat them in the game earlier during the season and currently they are at the top of the domestic league. However Lukoil Academic have a game in hand as their game versus Spartak in Pleven was postponed for later date. Both Lukoil Academic and Levski meet each other next Saturday in Pravets.

Today the head coach of Levski Konstantin Papazov gave a chance to all players he had in the roster. Even more, the reserves took 2/3 of the minutes in the game. Starters grabbed the early lead but they had limited time on the court. Juniors from the club were those Papazov used for most of the time on the court in “Hristo Botev” hall in Sofia.

Levski dominated during the first three quarters while Sliven showed some offensive skills to cut the distance at the end to only 15 points. Final score – 105-90.

Tsvetelin Ivanov was the best scorer for Levski with his 17 points, Stefan Georgiev added 15 while recently returned to the team Marcus Hall ended with 14 points. Three other players finished in double figures as born in year 1990 Georgi Georgiev scored 11.

Todor Tenev from the visiting team had a double double performance with 26 points and 14 rebounds while Milen Dimitrov added 23 points before to leave the court for 5 personal fouls.

As we mention Levski play away against Lukoil Academic next Saturday while Sliven will get another shot to get their first victory of the season when they play versus Eurouns Cherno More in Yambol the same day.
