Cherno More defend sixth place with win over Rilski Sportist

Cherno More Eurohold managed to secure an important win in the championship. Playing at home in Varna they defeated Rilski Sportist 88-75.

The game was even at the start as the hosts were having a little advantage. In the 5th minute the score was 17-11 and they continued to keep this difference in the next minutes. At the end of the first quarter Cherno More were in front 27-23.

At the beginning of the second quarter they continued to lead. The visitors were playing well though and managed to take the lead at 33-34 in the 15th minute of the game. In the 18th minute the score was tied 39-39 but in the final two minutes of the half the hosts made a nice 10-2 run that let them take a good lead at the break.

The second half was under the control of Cherno More Eurohold. In the third quarter the were controlling the game and kept a margin of around 10 points. At the end of the quarter they lead by 9 and the visitors still had hope.

That hope ended in the last quarter when the hosts took a 15 – point lead with five minutes to go. So from now on everything was clear and the hosts took a good and important win.
Simeon Tsenov and Bryce Sheldon were the top scorers in this game with 20 points.

Augustinas Vitas ruled under the basket as he finished with 17 points and 16 rebounds.
For the visitors from Samokov good games had Santos Martinez and Aleksandar Gruev who finished with 19 and 18 points respectively.
