Cherno More qualified to the final after 3-2 versus Levski

With a decisive basket by Aleksandar Yanev with 4 seconds to go Cherno More surprised Levski in Sofia and completed the turnaround in the series coming back from 0-2 down to win 3-2. Arnas Kazlauskas's three-pointer with 18 seconds to go took Levski in front 70-69 but in the next attack first Corey McIntosh missed but Yanev grabbed the rebounds and scored for 71-70 with 4 seconds to play. Marcus Hall then passed to Charlie Jones who was all alone at the three-point line. He tried a shot but didn't even hit the rim and the team of Cherno More started celebration. So after two years the team from Varna is again on the final and will play against Lukoil Academic.
The game itself was very balanced but at one point it seemed that Levski were coasting to victory. A triple by Charles Jones with 6.48 to go made the score 64-50 for the hosts. Then the may be thought that the game was over and allowed their opponent to make a 19-1 run and to take a 4-point lead with 2.15 to play. Slaveykov made the score 67-69 with two free throws and then Kazlauskas scored to give his team the lead before the last play where the youngster Yanev gave his team the precious win.
Corey McIntosh was the top scorer for the visitors with his 21 points adding also 6 assists and 3 rebounds. The hero Aleksandar Yanev finished with 12 points and 8 rebounds while Yulian Radionov scored 11.
Stefan Georgiev was the game top scorer with 24 points while Marcus Hall added 12. They were the only players from Levski who scored in double digits.
The players from Varna made two times more turnovers than Levski (20 to 10) but showed better shooting from the 3-point line - 8 from 18 with six from the nine players scoring from that range.
The series for the title will begin on 28th May in Pravets with Game 1. On the next day will be Game 2. Game 3 will be in Varna on June 2nd and on the next day if necessary Game 4. The eventual Game 5 will be in Pravets on June 5th.
