[b]Desiree Wheeler[/b] will play together with [b]Latasha Byears[/b] in [b]Houston Comets[/b]. She went on try out period in [b]Minnesota Lynx[/b] but at the end will join [b]Houston Comets[/b]. American point guard left the club from Bourgas two weeks ago in order to find herself in any of the teams for upcoming WNBA season. 23 years old [b]Wheeler[/b] arrived two months ago in Bourgas and make her debut on February 23. She played 3 games for [b]Lukoil Academic[/b] in Women First A-1, averaging 16.0 points and 3.7 steals per game. In the Cup of Bulgaria she had 11.0 points and 5.5 assists in two games. [b]Wheeler[/b] won the individual award for most assists during the Final Four of Cup of Bulgaria in Pernik. [b]Latasha Byears[/b] signed with Houston at the end of last month. Other names mention for eventual leaving Bulgarian league for WNBA are [b]Tiffani Johnson[/b] and [b]Teodora Petrova[/b] from [b]CSKA[/b] but is still unknown if they will play in the best league in the world. Women First A-1 will end next Sunday as [b]Lukoil Neftochimic[/b] is locked at the first place. They will face [b]NSA Delta[/b] in the First Round of the Women Playoffs 2007. [b]Wheeler[/b] and [b]Byears[/b] will play for [b]Houston Comets[/b] in their opener on May 19 at Seattle.
