Lauderdale arrived in Bulgaria in 2002 to play for Lukoil Academic. Everybody was amazed by his highness but he also proved his abilities and had a key role in the team.
During his first season in the team he and his teammates won FIBA Champions Cup South Conference as Priest scored the last free throw of the game as Lukoil Academic won against Aris 81 - 80. Next 2003-2004 season Lukoil Academic was participating in the ULEB Cup and PL was once again one of the team's top players.
The Bulgarians went out in the 1/8 finals of the competition losing to Lietuvos Rytas but perhaps the most memorable moment of the season was the victory over Real Madrid in Sofia 93 - 91 after an amazing comeback. In 11 matches in the ULEB Cup Priest had an average of 19.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. Saba Battery is the champion in Iranian Superleague for 2004 and 2006 and winner of Teheran Cup for 2006.
Last season Lauderdale played in Saudi Arabia for Al Ittihad Jeddah and now he will enjoy a new adventure in Asia, this time in Iran.
