Latasha Byears had most rebounds in her first game for Houston Comets from preseason in WNBA. Former CSKA forward had 14 boards before being ejected for her second technical foul.
Houston Comets hosted the 2006 WNBA champions Detroit Shock and loss 72-74. Game was played at Texas Tech’s University United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, Texas.
Detroit forward Swin Cash led all scorers with 16 points, while former Texas Tech University star Sheryl Swoopes and her teammate Michelle Snow led their squad in scoring with 14 each. Snow added 10 rebounds as well.
