Serbian Zeljko Lukajic is the new coach of champion of Bulgaria Lukoil Academic. Both sides signed the agreement today as Lukajic will be head coach for season 2007/08.
48 years old Lukajic was the head coach of teams in Bosna and Hercegovina, Greece and Serbia. He was named the best coach in Serbia for 1998. From 1998 until 2005 he led Hemofarm Vrsac. He was fired in 2001 but got back to the bench one month later. With the same team Lukajic had the biggest successes in their history – semifinal of ULEB Cup and winning Adriatic League in 2005. He was without a team for year and half but this January accepted the offer from Igokea Aleksandrovac in Bosna and Hercgovina. With this team he won the Cup of Bosna and Hercegovina and finished third in local championship.
