Head coach of Dunav 2007 Rumen Shopov won against his basketball teacher Ivan Cholakov and by this his team recorded first win of the season against Yambol 89-75.
The visitors started much better the game and took the early lead. Their shooting was good in this first quarter and they had 28-20 advantage at the end of it. In the middle of the second quarter the hosts took the iniciative. Kaloyan Kostov made a great coming off the bench and scored 13 points for less than 10 minutes as Dunav 2007 took the lead 45-42 at the halftime break.
The second half was all for the hosts. Pavel Noykov and Ivan Nikolov hit important 3-pointers and Dunav took a 14-point lead. In the last quarter things on court didn't change and the hosts cruised on to their first victory.
Pavel Noykov was above all in the game with his 30 points. Former Yambol player Ninoslav Tmuzic finished this game with 18 points and 11 rebounds while Ivan Nikolov added 16 and 10.
For Yambol Dimitar Anguelov scored 24 points and the other guards Stanislav Govedarov and Decho Koeshinov combined for 25.
