The most successful Bulgarian male player abroad - Vasil Evtimov, will continue his career in Spain. 207cm tall center, who also has a French passport, already signed a new contract with ACB club Grupo Capitol Valladolid. Vasco will stay in the team for the next two seasons.
“I am very happy. The offer was excellent and I wanted to stay in Spain. I like the club, the League is the strongest one in Europe. It doesn't matter we won't be able to participate in Euroleague next season”, said the player, who will celebrate his 30th anniversary next week.
Evtimov had another interesting proposal - from Bulgarian vice-champion and bronze medalist for the National Cup - CSKA Sofia.
“It was a pleasure for me to meet the boss of the club Mr Emil Cohen and talk about the future. CSKA wanted to sign me and my brother. I want to thank them for everything, but I couldn't make another choice for the moment. CSKA is still interested in my brother and I wish the things for him can work out”, added Vasco.
