Women CSKA fighting with 9 teams for 6 places in Euroleague

Women basketball team of CSKA is in competition with 9 more teams for the additional six places in FIBA Women Euroleague. The Red Angels played in FIBA EuroCup last season, but now are candidates for participation in the new format of the most prestigious women club tournament in Europe.
“I have full knowledge, but only don’t know the date on which the final decision will be made, but it will be in June. Next season the teams in the Euroleague are increasing from 18 to 24. Ten teams are fighting for six places. Now the candidates are being put under examination. There are conditions that every team must fulfill:
1. To be champion
2. To be from a city with good communications
3. A hall, and Hristo Botev will be repaired due to the upcoming European Championship for Women U20
4. Strong budget.
CSKA is a popular name in Europe. I’m optimist” said Rosen Barchovski who is still working as a sports director of The Reds.The men team is already waiting the draw for FIBA Eurocup which is to be held in July. 36 teams will take part in the competition this season.
