Blackney: The atmosphere was unbelievable

The playmaker of Bulgarian national team Roderick Blackney was a very important part of Bulgaria's success last evening against Hungary in the euroqualifications. The American with BG passport was impressed by the support of the fans in "Universiada" gym in Sofia.

"We always believe in the final success. It was very tough third quarter, nothing was falling. They made some big shots and we had a big deep. But we came back and got a big win!
- You had some very important shots in the last quarter. So how do you feel as one of the leaders of the team? - I think it was my time. In the third quarter I missed a lot of easy shots, that I normally make. I think we were little tired, just you know the atmosphere of the game. But in the fourth quarter I stepped up and gave some big shots, that gave as a chance for a push to get us over the edge. Probably that comes with the leadership and may be that’s one of the reasons Titi and Obradovic and the other coaches told him to get me.
- How did you felt in front of these fans?
- Oh, I love it! I mean the gym was full, that’s what you ask for. They helped us and it was the sixth man. I love that. Hopefully we can get support like that all the time."
