Messina is the new head coach of AXA F.C. Barcelona

According to Spanish newspaper Diario Sport, AXA F.C. Barcelona and Ettore Messina have agreed terms to work together for the next three seasons. The Italian coach, whose salary would be a bit higher than former head coach Dusko Ivanovic's, fired on 14th February, accepted the proposal of the Spanish club long after the start of the negotiations.
Messina would be the head coach of Barcelona no matter if the team qualifies for the next Euroleague season or not. Regarding the new signings, it seems that the main targets of the club will be to bring Matjaz Smodis and David Andersen together with the Italian coach.
