The names of the teams that will make it to the first season of Balkan league will be announced Wednesday. As we know the league will be formed from teams from 5 countries in the Balkan region – Bulgaria, FYR of Macedonia, Serbia, Greece and Romania. The deadline dor applications was at the end of last month while the draw for the first competition will take place this coming Saturday in Sofia.
One of the reasons for postponement of the final decision of for Wednesday is because Board of the Balkan League wants to wait for outcome of the sixth game from the playoffs in FYR of Macedonia between Feni Indusrija and Strumica 2005.
The Sports Director of Balkan League Shay Shtriks attended the fifth game from the final playoff series in which Strumica 2005 won by the score of 75-74 and cut the lead to 3-2. The desire of Mr. Shtriks was to receive more information from the situation during the next game in Kavadarci. He was little anxious regarding behaviour of the fans in game number 5 last week.
