Galatasaray Cafe Crown picked up a pair of star forwards on Friday by signing former teammates and countrymen Milan Gurovic and Dejan Milojevic. Gurovic (207, 32) is a former ULEB Cup MVP, who helped Prokom Trefl Sopot win the Polish championship last season, while Milojevic (200, 31) arrives from Pamesa Valencia. The two have played together in the past for Partizan Belgrade as well as the Serbian national team.

Gurovic is one of the top scoring forwards in the game. He averaged 15.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in 12 Euroleague appearances last season with Prokom. The year before, Gurovic was worth 25.9 points and 5.3 rebounds in 14 ULEB Cup games with Red Star Belgrade and his career 21.3 points per game average is the most in competition history. Gurovic has also played for Unicaja, DKV Joventut and Barcelona in Spain, Vojvodina and Partizan in Serbia, as well as for Peristeri and AEK Athens in Greece. He helped Barcelona to win the Spanish League in 1999 and reach the Euroleague Final Four in 2000. He has also been a regular member of the Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro national teams. Gurovic helped Yugoslavia win gold medals at the 2002 World Championships and the 2001 European Championships.

Milojevic is an excellent scorer and rebounder, who compliments Gurovic perfectly at the other forward spot. He averaged 12 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists in the ULEB Cup last season, helping Pamesa reach the Final Eight. His breakthrough season came with Partizan in 2004-05 when he recorded 20.8 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.5 steals in an incredible Euroleague campaign, which was cut to just six games by injury. He followed that up with 16.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.9 steals in 12 Euroleague games the next season before joining Pamesa two summers ago. Milojevic began his career with FMP and later played for Buducnost Podgorica before joining Partizan. He was also a member of Yugoslavia’s 2001 European championship squad and has won three Serbia and Montenegro League crowns and one Yugoslavian Cup.
