After taking down to earth Lukoil Academic in the local championship Levski will come out on tuesday for first win in the Balkan league against Macedonian Fersped Rabotnicki. The game starts at 17.30 local time in "Hristo Botev " hall in Sofia.
One interesting fact about the game is that the two coaches of the teams worked together a few years ago. Konstantin Papazov was head coach of Lukoil Academic while Marin Dokuzovski was his assistant.
"The Blues" have lost twice so far in Eurohold BIBL while the Macedonians have a win and a loss. Levski lost to Mega Hypo Leasing at home with a three-pointer at the buzzer and then failed to win in Samokov against the other Bulgarian team in this group Rilski Sportist.
Fersped Rabotnicki on the other side defeated easily Dinamo Bucharest at home but then lost in Belgrade to Mega Hypo Leasing. In this group the first four teams will advance so nothing fatal happened so far and both teams have good chances. Of course a new loss for Levski will put the team in much tougher situation.
The bad news for Levski's coaching staff is the fact that Vasil Evtimov felt pain in his injured heel again and will miss the game. The head coach of the team Papazov is hoping he will be replaced well enough by Stefan Georgiev and Nikolay Varbanov.
The fans of the team will surely want to see Levski play in the same way like against Lukoil Academic on friday - very good not only for a half but for the whole 40 minutes.
Fersped Rabotnicki is coming in Sofia after losing for first time in the championship. After seven straight wins they lost to Amak SP 70-75 at home but are still on top of the standings. They have a few national players on their roster, the most known Dime Tasovski, and are also counting on few serbians and a american.
