The team of Yambol had a chance to win in Varna against the local team Euroins Cherno More but they came short at the end. With 55 seconds to play American center Byron Sanders could have tied the game from the free throw line but scored only once to make it 72-71. The ball was still for Yambol because of a flagrant foul by Michael Earl but Pavel Marinov lost the ball and then the youngster Aleksandar Yanev was fouled and scored both free throws to make it 74-71. With one second to go Govedarov scored the first and missed the second free throw but none of his teammates grabbed the ball and the game finished 74-72.
 
Yambol started very well the game and took 9-4 lead. The hosts were making a lot of turnovers and their shooting was bad and after the first ten minutes the visitors were ahead 17-13.
 
The second quarter was very close. The hosts tied the game for less than a minute of play. Then both teams started to exchange leads and after three ties Cherno More was in front 41-40 at the halftime.
 
After the break the hosts's lead went up to 61-51 but near the end of the third quarter the visitors cut it down to 5. Michael Earl scored 14 points only in this quarter. The hosts starter very well the last quarter but in the final minutes the visitors were down only by a point and unfortunately for them couldn't turn the things around.
 
Top scorer for the hosts was Corey McIntosh with 23 adding also 6 assists.
 
For Yambol two players finished with double-double. Byron Sanders with 16 points and 10 rebounds and Kirilo Skumatov with 15 and 11.
