45 year old Predrag Badnjarevic is replacing Daniel Dimitrov as the head coach of Euroins Cherno More, the Varna club management announced on Friday night, just after the loss to Lukoil Academic. Earlier that day Badnjarevic inked a contract until the end of this season. He is known for having discovered 13 year old Peja Stojakovic, while he was a young coach at Crvena Zvezda's youth setup.

Since then Badnjarevic has worked as assistant or head coach at various clubs across the Balkan Peninsula - PAOK and Larissa in Greece, Crvena Zvezda, Ibon Niksic, Lavovi and Beopetrol in his native Yugoslavia/Serbia, Arad in Romania and, most recently, at Bosnian club Igokea Aleksandrovac.

He was the head coach of the Egyptian national team for the last three years (2006-2008) and guided it to a semifinal appearance at the FIBA Africa Championship in 2007.

Badnjarevic won the Serbia and Montenegro Cup in 2006 as coach assistant at Crvena Zvezda and reached the Greek Cup final with PAOK in 1995, also as assistant. As head coach of Arad he reached a Romanian Cup semifinal in 2004.
