Pini Gershon named Papazov as technical director

Titi Papazov is the new technical director in Bulgarian national team informed Gong. As by words of Pini Gershon Papazov receives a promotion and will have this job in the coaching staff of our mens team. The Sports Director of Balkan League Shay Shtriks will be General Manager and in Gershon's crew will be also Lyubo Minchev, Toni Dechev and trainer Avram Kovalski.

"Titi is the best for this job. The titles are not so important. As I said in the beginning - this is my crew. Lyubo doesn't want this job and I gave it to Titi. I'm here to help and the titles are not important. If somebody wants I can also be assistant coach or technical director. I'm here to help. It's not about the pride or the ego of somebody" said Gershon when asked about the change in his crew in which Titi became technical director from assistant coach.

"If you want me to be here longer than my contract I'll be. If you want me to be coach I'll be here again. I want to help not only the national team but the whole Bulgarian basketball. For me the titles are not important. I'm here as a volunteer and I'm looking for partners not bosses. If somebody wants to be my boss he will have to pay a lot of money. I'm looking for partners and this is the way to succeed. Titi has more experience with the national team than me and that is why I decided that assistant coach is a job too low for him" said also our national team coach.

"Give me little more time because it's better to talk for the players after few practices. I saw some terrible games. Later we'll decide who will be the foreign player who will be part of the team. It's not serious to talk now about how we will play. To have NBA players doesn't guarantee a success. It's not the players, it's the team that wins games. I'll not take decisions alone. We'll decide together" said the famous Israelian who starts actively his work in charge of our national team for the forthcoming European qualifications.
